Strategically placed next to the best pools, the Varzina River Trout Camp is a must for any devoted trout angler. Large brown trout that descend from the upper lakes average well over 20 inches – any fish landed is likely to be trophy. Weekly catches at the Trout Camp have regularly been over 150 specimen fish. Also large Atlantic salmon are present and willing to take even trout flies! This is no ordinary trout fishing – this is serious BIG fish territory!

Flexible arrengements allow all fishermen to enjoy the very best of this magnificent fishery. While all fishing is done by foot, Trout Camp Master Guide is there to help on planning the fish­ing, giving tips on fly selection and fishing tactics. Walking is easy over the open tundra where only stunted birch and willow grows. All the room for your back casts you could ever want!

Accomodation in stable and spacious field tents heated with wood stoves. You’ll sleep comfortably in our real beds and goose down sleeping bags. Camp ameni­ties include electricity, Finnish sauna and hot showers. The camp chef prepares breakfast, dinner and packs lunches to strengthen the fighting arm during fishing.

Caddis hatches are heavy and many large trout are landed on dry flies. Streamers together with mouse and lemming patterns make some exciting trophy fishing during the white nights in this land on eternal summer days.
