Other mattersPlease keep in mind one thing about the weather: fog, powerful wind etc. can prohibit flying, in some rare cases even for two-three days at a time. Weather is a Force Majeure condition, for which we cannot accept responsibility, but one you should take into consideration when booking your return connection flights. Do not book return flights too close to scheduled arrival back from the camp but give it some slack or agree with your flight company about possibilities in changing the tickets if possible. Most delays are luckily only for a few hours. There is also a possibility that clients are transported back from Varzina camps to Murmansk earlier than on Thursday, for example on Wednesday evening. This could happen if it would seem evident according to the weather forecast for the Thursday that the weather would be too bad for the helicopter to fly at all on Thursday. In this case clients would stay overnight in Murmansk by their own cost. Decision about this possible Wednesday night return will be made by helicopter pilot together with our Russian managers after having discussed with the Air traffic Control of Murmansk Airport. In such "Force Majeure" cases (caused by the inclement weather) client is obliged to pay all extra costs (change of flight tickets, hotel, food and extra transportations from hotel to airport) by himself. Most clients have a special insurance to cover these afterwards. |
